About Us

Paper Bliss began in January 2009, as a part of Designed by Yours Truly, a project involving sisters-in-law excited about the wedding industry. It all began with Laurie's wedding in July of 2008 -- Laurie was a true DIY bride. From her wedding invitations, all the way to wrapping her favours, everything was done by the bride, the groom, and the bridesmaids (and of course, parents by default). The feedback was positive, so an idea was born: creative custom stationery unlike any other out there!

Laurie is a graduate of the York Sheridan Design program, so a graphic designer by profession. A sequence of events before the wedding put her in a position to have a lot of time on her hands, so she put her time to good use. As a part of DBYT, the stationery took off well enough to warrant a separate website focusing solely on stationery & gift items. Paper being Laurie's passion from early on, it seemed only logical to focus on paper and anything to do with it. Here you'll find a selection of pre-designed stationery products -- invitations for all occasions, paper goods, notebooks, planners, etc -- as well as custom stationery & other wedding related items, which is where it all stemmed from.

Paper Bliss is based out of Waterloo, Ontario, but this doesn't mean clients from nearby areas can't use us for their custom stationery needs. PB has worked with brides as far out as British Columbia, doing most of the communication via email, phone & text messaging!
